How Will This Stimulate The Economy???

Obama's weekly address:

What I can't stand about these big-spending Democrats (and a choice few Republicans) is how they hardly explain how this "stimulus" bill will actually stimulate the economy. He talks about updating our infrastructure, schools, etc. but that is just regular old spending. Those who are in favor of tax cuts can actually make an argument that the cuts will stimulate the economy (they have in the past). But this is just another New Deal big spending plan, which FDR's treasury secretary said, in 1939, did not work. The direct quote, "“We have tried spending money. We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work.”

Obama say that our government has not set a good example in "recent" years. When has it ever?

Changing the face of leadership my make the sheeple of this country feel better, but continuing the same keynesian economic policies will not return different results...

Even if it did work, it is not government's job to spend us back to prosperity. We the people are the producers in this economy. The answer lies in our productivity...

Haha so true. Also you are right on, it's not that Obama is incapable of leadership or Bush or that they did or did not do the right things, it really comes down to the fact that their ideologies (neo-cons and liberals) are both big government and trample over our liberties. Not much more to it.

Governments job is to protect our liberties!!! Sadly they are enemy number one of taking them away.
